The Story

Fifty years ago in woodshop I made the cutting board you see in my header. I recall the shop teacher stressing how taking your time & working carefully will result in a lasting piece. This board has been refinished a couple of times, but the original 40 year old board is as you see it.
Over the years I have created a few items for personal and family use. As a smoker, I have handmade my own wood cannabis, weed & 420 smoking pipes. When cannabis went legal here in Washington State, my two adult children were impressed and asked me to make them a pipe. After a bit I was making smoking pipes for all my close friends.

A few years ago my sister in-law she needs a cutting board for a church housewarming gift. I put something together with the limited tools I had. The gift was a hit. I received requests for a couple more cuttingboards. So I buy a couple tools and keep going.

Soon I buy more tools yet stressing a handmade and quirky take on my work. As I improve my skills and become more popular around my circle of friends and relatives, I start thinking...I should share what I do with other folks. My son says I should be selling my weed pipes all over. He tells me there are few places to get a cool and different handmade wood cannabis pipe. My son says he needs a stash box. The daughter wants exotic wood jewelry box. I created a custom wood valet box for a friend's graduation.

My son tells me my woodworking gifts are unique & odd and I should be selling them.

Everything I make is a unique item. I like exotic woods, non-power tools whenever I can. While wood smoking pipes are my favorite thing to make, rustic boxes, cutting boards, serve trays are all part of the inventory. I like exotic looking pieces. Handmade wood pieces are the best.

Thank you for looking at my new website.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
